Welcome

Welcome to Forte Care

Forte Care Ltd specialises in delivering small, homely, expert, individualised, and therapeutically informed care for children and young people who have experienced trauma, loss, and disrupted attachment. For more than six years, we have cared for children with complex mental health, emotional, behavioural, social, and developmental needs through highly personalised residential and therapeutic programmes.

Our practice is rooted in trauma‑informed, relational, and evidence‑based approaches, ensuring every young person receives the support they need to heal, grow, and thrive.

Our Specialism in Supporting Complex Needs

Our approach is grounded in trauma‑informed, relational practice. We understand that these behaviours are not “problems to fix” but expressions of pain, fear, and unmet emotional and developmental needs. Through consistent, attuned care and strong therapeutic relationships, we help young people:

  1. Feel safe
  2. Build trust
  3. Develop emotional resilience
  4. Reconnect with their identity
  5. Strengthen self‑worth
  6. Move towards recovery at a pace that honours their experiences

Every placement is highly personalised, and we work closely with CAMHS, social care, education, health professionals, and families to ensure we provide specialist, coordinated, and compassionate support for young people with the highest levels of need.

We specialise in providing therapeutic residential placements for children and young people who present with high‑risk, complex, and trauma‑related behaviours. Our homes are equipped, trained, and staffed to safely and compassionately support young people experiencing:

  1. High levels of self‑harm
  2. Eating disorders, including restrictive eating, binge–purge patterns, and complex nutritional needs
  3. Suicidal ideation and intent, with patterns of escalating risk
  4. A wide range of trauma‑related behaviours, including emotional dysregulation, dissociation, aggression, avoidance, mistrust, and relational instability
  5. Behaviours that emerge as protective, survival‑based responses to early adversity, neglect, abuse, or disrupted attachment
